This notice describes the information practices of Singapore Management University Alumni Association (SMUAA) that relates to the websites on which this statement is posted (“Site”). This includes mobile websites and applications, if applicable.

At Singapore Management University Alumni Association (“SMUAA”), we strive to do everything we can to respect the privacy of our members.

Our Privacy Policy Explains:

• The choices we offer, including how to access and check for information.

  • If you are only browsing this Site or using the Search function, we do not capture data that allows us to identify you individually. While user sessions will be tracked, the users will remain anonymous.

  • If you choose to submit an application form or an email that contains personally identifiable data, for SMUAA to process or to render you a service, we may share that relevant data within the Association, or if necessary, with other Government or universities, so as to serve you efficiently and effectively, unless such sharing is prohibited by legislation. We may also need to disclose personal data as required by law or court order. We will NOT share your personal data with private organisations, except where such entities have been authorised to carry out specific SMUAA services.

  • For your convenience, when you are carrying out a transaction on our website, we may also display to you the data that you previously supplied to SMUAA, other Government agencies or private organisations that have been authorised to carry out specific services on our behalf. This is intended to speed up the process of not having to key in the same data that you may have previously provide. SMUAA will retain your personal data only as necessary for business and legal purposes.

  • For the safeguarding of your personal data, SMUAA has ensured that all electronic storage and transmission of personal data are secured with the appropriate security technologies, policies and procedures.

We are not responsible for the content and privacy practices of these other websites and encourage you to examine the privacy notices of those sites.
