SMU SINO ALUMNI GROUP
SMU SINO Alumni Group (SINO) was established in April 2011. The objective of SINO is to render assistance to new SMU graduates and immigrants from greater China region to adapt and integrate into the Singapore society through a network of SMU Alumni, friends and business associates. Since its inception, SINO has been organising various events including wealth management talk, Chinese culture sharing party, orientation for new students and graduates, team building. Through these activities, SINO members were able to connect with one another and build new friendships in a foreign environment.
With about 1,000 members to date, SINO aims to provide a bridge for the new graduates and immigrants, regardless of their nationalities by sharing their experiences with sincerity and care.
All alumni and students from China are welcome to join the group. If you want to know more about working and living in China, please feel free to contact SINO.

Zhang Xi (张溪)
President
Zhang Xi graduated with a Msc. in Applied Finance in 2013. She is currently a Consulting Analyst at Frost & Sullivan and President of the SMU SINO Alumni Group.
张溪,2013年毕业于SMU应用金融硕士学位,目前就职于Frost & Sullivan咨询公司政府及公共项目咨询,现任SMU中国校友会主席。
Wang Yang (汪洋)
General Secretary
Wang Yang (John) is an alumnus from the SMU School of Economics. During his school days, he was the Vice President of Connect China and organised several activities such as the Business Trip to China 2011. He has been serving in SINO Alumni Group since his graduation. He is currently working at Fidelity Asset Management as a Proxy Voting Analyst.
汪洋,毕业于新加坡管理大学经济学院。在校期间,他积极参与学生活动。2012年毕业以后,汪洋一直在SMU中国校友会。现供职于富达基金公司。
Ding Chen (丁辰)
Vice-President
Ding Chen is a Class of 2011 Business School alumnus. He currently serves as the Vice President of SINO and is in-charge of External Relations and Event Planning with a focus on mainland Chinese alumni. He works for UBS as an IT engineer in project management and legal IT business analysis. He likes sports and enjoys quality time with friends and family during his leisure time. In SINO, he is passionate about launching events, connecting the Group with more social organisations and being always at reach for the alumni community.
丁辰是商学院11届的校友。他现任职于新管大中国校友会,担任副主席,分管外联和活动策划。他职业是IT工程师,现就职于UBS,从事IT项目管理及法务IT业务分析工作。在业余时间里他喜欢从事各类运动,并享受和亲朋好友在一起的时光。他担任Exco职位期间,希望组织开展更多校友活动、与更多社会机构建立友好关系、并随时为校友群体服务。
Li Hongyang (李弘阳)
Vice-President / Publicity Division Director
Hongyang graduated from SMU with a Masters in Applied Finance in 2013. He is currently pursuing a career as a leasing/operation manager in a multi-national real estate company. Serving as the Marketing Director/ Vice President in SMU SINO Alumni Group, Hongyang is in-charge of the marketing of alumni events, social media management and brand building. Hongyang is eager to make a positive difference for the alumni network.
弘阳于2013年毕业于SMU应用金融硕士项目。目前供职于一家地产公司从事租赁和运营工作。目前,弘阳在SMU中国校友会担任宣传部部长/副主席一职,主要负责校友会活动的市场推广、社交媒体管理及品牌建设。在将来弘阳将更努力地为校友会建设贡献自己的绵薄之力。
Shao Qi (邵祺)
External Liaison Division Director
Shao Qi is currently working in Adventus Asia as an Enterprise Account Manager, managing 130 high-value corporate customers to provide ICT and MPS consultancy to add value to their existing ICT and print infrastructure. His projects include managing network services, IT services, data backup and disaster recovery services.
Shao Qi graduated from School of Information Systems in SMU in 2014. During his studies in SMU, he was the President of Connect China in 2012 and has demonstrated strong relationship management and good leadership in running the club to expand membership, promote Chinese culture, and provide for members' welfare.
邵祺,于2014年毕业于新加坡管理大学信息系统学院。在读期间,曾任新大中国留学生会会长,有较丰富的沟通协商、人事管理和活动策划经验。现在一间ICT公司做企业客户经理,主要负责网络系统改造,服务器项目和数据库云端备份等服务。
Wu Qiong(吴琼)
Planning Division Director
Wu Qiong (Stephanie) graduated from LKCSB in BBM with two majors in Finance and Marketing. She was very active in participating in school programmes and co-curriculum activities such as the Work & Travel USA programme, AIESEC, business study mission to the Middle East and community service in Laos. After graduation, she was in the field of digital media for three years and now runs her own venture, CompassLoft. CompassLoft is a forward-looking new media company that provides career advisory services to students and graduates through the access to disruptive ideas, technology and innovation, creativity and experience, to enable them to reshape their fields in new paradigms.
吴琼毕业于新大李光前商学院,双主修金融和市场营销,获商业管理学士学位。大学期间,她非常活跃地参加学校的各种课程活动,拓展视野,去美国参加暑期工作旅游项目,在国际经济学商学学生会组织新外交流活动,参加中东商业考察项目,去老挝山区提供义务服务等等。毕业后吴琼在数字媒体行业工作了三年。现在她自主创业,联合创办司南阁,一间具有前瞻性的新媒体公司,旨在为学生和毕业生提供未来职场所需的技能咨询和职业咨询服务。
Huang Zecheng (黄泽诚)
Membership Division Director
Johnson Huang graduated from SIS in 2013. He has a strong interest in investments and info-tech start-ups. During his school days, Johnson actively participated in most events held by E.Y.E Investment Club and Google Tech User Group. Currently he is serving as the Head of Membership department in SINO where he focuses on 'Increasing the number, loyalty and welfare of the members'. Since graduation, Johnson has been working as an IT System Analyst in a local company manufactures semi-conductor equipments.
黄泽铖,是2013年的SIS本科毕业生。兴趣广泛,对投资,信息技术创业皆有浓厚兴趣,在校期间曾积极参与E.Y.E Investment Club以及Google Tech User Group相关的各项活动;目前在校友会从事会员部部长一职,工作重心主要围绕“扩大会员数量,提升会员粘性,增添会员福利”这三点来进行。工作方面,目前在一家本地半导体设备公司从事IT项目管理的工作。
PAST EVENTS
SMU Career Interview Competition Ended with Great Success
On 25 October 2014, the Career Interview Competition organized by Singapore Management University SINO Alumni Group (SMUSAG) was held in SMU. This event was sponsored by AIA Singapore.
Mr Samuel Goh, Ms Ivy Neo, Mr Tan Chuan How and M.Annie Seah from AIA, together with Mr William Tan from the SMU Post-graduate and Professional Programme Office, were invited to be the judges for this event. The competition contained two rounds -- resume screening and grand final contest. During the first round, response was overwhelming and over 20 resumes were received. With strict screening, only 11 candidates were selected by the interviewers, and they qualified to enter the final round.
In the end, the 11th candidate, Yang Wei, was declared the champion. Besides receiving a shopping voucher worth S$150, she now stands a high chance to secure a full-time job offered by AIA. Meanwhile, the remaining 10 candidates entering into the final round will also have opportunities to further engage with AIA in the future.
