Missed the first run? Learn the basic concepts in programming and write codes in Python in this second exclusive workshop for SMU alumni.

Python is an easy to learn, powerful and versatile open-sourced programming language that is used in many diverse domains – Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Robotics and Web Apps. Alumni participants will learn the key programming concepts such as data list, loops, decision making, functions, object oriented principles and practise writing clean and clear codes. The workshop will provide lots of opportunities to code in Python 3.X.

Target Audience
Anyone who is curious about how to use programming to solve real world problems, be more productive or build fun projects or games.

Pre-requisites
You are not required to have any prior programming knowledge. All hands-on exercises will be done on your own laptop. You will be guided to install Python 3.X onto your own laptop prior to the workshop.

About the Instructor

ERIC HONG

Eric Hong (MBA, MSc, BEng, PGDE) has more than 10 years of industry experience in the Business and Engineering area at two leading US MNCs. He has also lectured extensively at tertiary level institutions in Software Engineering & Physics. His passions are in Data Science and Software Engineering. Eric is an educator, engineer, and entrepreneur.
