In tribute of Smoo Smoo and celebration of SMU’s 20th anniversary this year, SMU will be launching the SMOO Challenge aimed at bringing the SMU community together as OneSMU across the globe to reach a combined goal of 20,000km - which is halfway around the world - in 20 days!

Open to everyone beyond SMU students, alumni, faculty, staff, family and friends.

With a participation fee of $20 per sign up, all nett proceeds from the SMOO Challenge will go towards the SMU Bursary Fund to ensure that every student has an equal opportunity to experience an unique education here at SMU regardless of their socioeconomic background. This is even more pertinent today especially during the current economic downturn brought about by COVID-19. Donate here to contribute!

Every steps counts whether you sign up for 2km, 5km, 10km or 20km. Each category is a cumulative distance but you are encouraged to go over and beyond to achieve our goal of 20,000km. Upon completion of your distance, participants will receive a limited edition commemorative Smoo Smoo Medal in appreciation of your support and contribution! There will be prizes to be won, so put your best foot forward whilst doing good at the same time!
