Alumni continue to make a difference at SMU long after they have left University.  You can be involved by contributing your talent and expertise.

Be part of a growing group of dedicated volunteers who change the community landscape and ‘pay it forward’. These are some opportunities to stay in touch:

  • Join our Sub Committee
We have various special initiatives ongoing. If you have the expertise and passion, we would love to have you onboard!

  • Be An Alumni Mentor
As a mentor, you will have unique opportunities to develop valuable mentoring skills and gain important leadership insights. By sharing your expertise, you not only help shape the future of SMU students, but also enjoy a mutually-beneficial experience.

  • Join the SMUAA Exco, or Lead a Group or Chapter
Contribute your time and passion to strengthening the alumni community and supporting the University in its endeavours.

  • Be An Ambassador
Assist in deepening alumni engagement with the SMU Community

  • Plan A Special Initiative
Special initiative volunteers contribute their time and energy generously to organise activities such as networking sessions or class reunions. Networking activities and reunions are great opportunities to meet fellow alumni and renew ties with former classmates. Be part of your class reunion planning committee and make it a truly special event.

  • Be a part of interview panels
Share your knowledge and wealth of experience as invited speakers or be part of scholarship interview panels and help identify deserving scholarship recipients.

  • Refer jobs or hire SMU alumni or students
Partner with us for career or internship opportunities to provide valuable experiences for our students and SMU alumni.

  • Be a SMU Host
Extend a warm welcome to international exchange students studying in SMU to enhance their SMU experience.
